Once two men went to a potter’s field where they watched a tread-wheel making earns. They were delighted at seeing the work without satiety.
Xưa có hai người đến chơi nhà thợ gốm, xem họ lấy chân quay cái vòng làm bình sành không chán.
One then left for the great assembly where he was well received with excellent food and got precious teachings as well. The other stayed on at the plant and said, “I’ll get a good look at how urns are made.”- Thus he stayed till the sun set without realizing how hungry he really was or how chilly it had gotten.
Sau đó, một trong hai người bỏ đến đại-hội được ăn cơm ngon, được nhiều ngọc báu. Một người xem làm bình cứ bảo đợi xem xong đã, dần dần xem đến mặt trời lặn, thành mất cả ăn uống, của báu.
So are the stupid who engage themselves in their housework without being aware that all things are subject to change. People are inclined to be very fickle nowadays. Apparition of Buddhas and Great Dragons thunders all over the world. The rain of Buddhist teachings fertilizes all beings, except for those who stick to trifles. Being unconscious of death that could come any time, people miss the opportunity to attend to Buddhist assemblies. They are unable to be inspired by the precious teachings as a treasure and always remain in misery.
Those who are abandoning the right doctrine and looking endlessly at the trifles of urn making lose the benefit of learning and will never get deliverance.
Người ngu cũng thế. Chuyên-chú sửa-sang việc nhà, không hiểu gì đến lẽ vô-thường: Hôm nay tu sửa việc này, Bao nhiêu việc khác tạo đầy ngàn mai! Độ sinh chư Phật ra đời, Nơi nơi vang dậy những lời sâu-xa. Giọt mưa giáo-pháp chung hòa, Bận duyên thế-sự hóa ra vô tình! Biết đâu “chết” đến bên Bình! Mà duyên Phật-Hội (28) xưa thành bỏ qua! Pháp trân-bảo của Phật-đà, Mảy-may không được phải sa ba đường! Bình kia xem-xét tỏ-tường, Miên-man say-đắm, lợi thường được chi! …Đường lên giải-thoát mong gì?
