Once there was a man who suddenly became a hunchback. He went to a physician who treated him first with ointment smeared on his back, and who then squeezed the hunchback between two pieces of woodblock. The doctor pressed the woodblock so hard that the hunchback’s eyes popped out.
Xưa có người bỗng dưng bị gù lưng, mời thầy về chữa. Thầy thuốc nhào bột với dầu đồ, lấy ván ép đầu, đuôi. Vì sức ép quá đau, hai mắt lòi ra.
So are the stupid in the world. In seeking for wealth, people try their hands in every possible trade. What they don’t realize is that even if they commit crimes most furtively, they will make more injuries than profits, just like the doctor made the hunchback’s eyes popped. They will one day go to Hell.
Người ngu ở đời cũng thế. Vì tu phúc-đức, đi buôn-bán gây nhiều điều phi-pháp, tuy việc phúc thành nhưng, lợi không hàn kín chỗ hại, sau phải sa vào các đường ác, như người chữa lưng hai mắt bị lòi vậy!
