The Wife Pretends To Be Dead – Đánh Lừa Là Chết
Once upon a time there was a stupid man who loved very much his beautiful wife. However, she had no true love for him. In the meantime, she associated herself surreptitiously with another man.
Xưa có người ngu lấy được người vợ đẹp, rất yêu, nhưng người vợ vẫn không để lòng tin-yêu mình. Sau một thời-gian lấy nhau, người vợ tư-tình với người khác.
Burning with lecherous passions, she wanted to leave her husband to be with her lover. She secretly told an old woman, “After my departure, I would like you to place a woman’s corpse in my house. You then tell my husband that I’m dead.” The old woman did what she was told. She told the husband shortly after his return that his wife passed away. He went to see the corpse and believed it was that of his own wife. He grieved and wept bitterly. He gathered a great deal of wood and oil together for the cremation. Then he put the ashes into a bag and had it with him day and night.
Lòng riêng-tây quá mạnh, người vợ ấy muốn bỏ chồng, đi theo tiếng gọi của tình-lang, mới ngấm-ngầm bảo một bà lão: “Bà, sau khi tôi đi, bà kiếm giúp tôi một xác chết của người đàn-bà khác, để trên giường và bảo chồng tôi là tôi đã chết rồi!” Bà lão ưng-thuận. Rình khi người chồng đi vắng bà đem xác chết để trên giường. Người chồng về, bà bảo: “Vợ anh chết rồi!” Người chồng đến coi, tin là vợ mình đã chết, thương-xót, khóc-lóc áo-não, sắm-sửa dầu, củi hỏa-táng, nhặt xương đựng vào trong túi, ngày đêm đeo luôn bên mình.
Shortly after, the wife got tired of her lover. She came back and told her husband, “I’m your wife.” The husband answered, “My wife died a long time ago. Who are you to lie to me that you are my wife?” The husband refused to believe her, in spite of her repeated explanations.
Thời-gian sau, mầu tình phai-lạt, người vợ ấy lại quay về nhà cũ, bảo chồng: “Thưa anh, em là vợ anh trước đây!” Người chồng đáp: “Thưa bà, vợ tôi chết đã lâu rồi, bà là người lạ, bà nhận bỡn là vợ tôi, chứ có phải đâu?” Người vợ ấy nói đến hai, ba lần người chồng vẫn không tin.
So are the heretics who, having learned the heretical doctrine, confusedly stick to it with all their soul and take the doctrine to be the right one without altering their mind forever. Thus, they will be unable to believe, accept or keep any other creed even it is an orthodox one.
Ngoại-đạo nghe tà-thuyết, tâm say-mê cho là chân-thực, quyết không thay-đổi. Mặc dầu khi được nghe chính-giáo họ vẫn không tin-tưởng, thụ-trì…, như người chồng kia không khác.
