A doctor was called in to see a rather testy aristocrat.
“Well, sir, what’s the matter?” he asked cheerily.
“That, sir,” growled the patient, “is for you to find out.”
Một bác sĩ được mời tới thăm bệnh cho một nhà quý tộc tính nết khó chịu.
– A, thưa ngài, bệnh ra làm sao vậy? – bác sĩ vui vẻ hỏi.
– Này, điều đó thì chính bác sĩ phải tìm ra chứ, – bệnh nhân cau có bảo.
“I see,” said the doctor thoughtfully, “Well, if you excuse me for an hour or so, I’ll go along a fetch a friend of mine – a veterinarian. He is the only chap I know who can make a diagnosis without asking questions.”
– Chà chà, – bác sĩ nói với vẻ tư lự, – Nếu ngài không phiền lòng, tôi xin phép được đi chừng một tiếng đồng hồ để gọi bạn tôi tới đây. Anh ta là kẻ duy nhất tôi biết có thể chuẩn đoán bệnh mà không cần hỏi. Anh ấy là bác sĩ thú y đấy.
